Around The World Celebrations

There is always something to celebrate around this big Earth!  Each week we will travel to a new country and experience a holiday or celebration that is actually being celebrated there right now.  We will learn about other countries and cultures through weekly crafts, games, foods, music and more.

This is an 18 week class, designed for K to 5th grade students.  It meets Mondays from 1:00 to 2:00

Becoming the Ultimate Barista

Looking for an opportunity to learn coffee-making skills? In this class we’ll be studying all things coffee: the bean, the grind, the equipment, the history… and of course, we’ll be drinking lots of coffee! Students will learn the art of pulling shots, steaming milk, hot and iced espresso drinks along with italian sodas and chai teas. They will also learn about resumes, cover letters, cash handling, customer service and safe food handling. A self obtained Washington State Food Workers Permit will be required by the end of the 10 week course.  Course runs Mondays, 1:00-2:00    Teacher:  Stephanie Lentz

Circus

Have you ever wanted to join the circus?  We will be diving into a different circus act every week.  This is a very physical and active class.  Learn hula hoop tricks, juggling, balancing, clowning, poi ball spinning, acrobatics and more.  Class will also consist of crafting as we will make our own props.  This class will work towards a final performance at the end of the semester.

This is an 18 week class, designed for K to 8th grade students.  It meets Mondays from 12:00 to 1:00

Co-Op, Middle and High School Level

Join our Co-Op where we strive to support and build community with a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) focus.  We have expanded! After paying the family membership fee of $75, each student will have a $35 monthly fee for materials and facilities fee.   Middle and High School levels meet on  Mondays from 9:30 to 11:30 for fun lessons!    As a cooperative, parents are expected to be involved during co-op day. All classes are parent-taught and the program is parent-led.  Parents are also encouraged to volunteer in other ways (i.e.: plan field trips, coordinate classes).  The first month’s fees are charged here, then we will ask if you want to pay the rest of the year at the beginning of each month or pay the rest of the year in full with a 5% discount.

Human Body (Grades 3-5)

Students in this class will get to explore what makes us….us!  We will learn about our brain, heart, lungs, stomach, intestines, gallbladder, liver, kidneys, bones and more.

Human Body (Grades K-2)

In this course we will learn about our bodies.  How do our lungs work?  How many bones do we have?  Why do we lose teeth? Do our feet really never stop growing?  And so much more!

Writing Club for Teens

Writing Club is a place for young aspiring lovers of writing and future authors to meet, explore all the aspects of great writing and what it takes to be an author, all while experiencing life with peers who love words too!
