Students will engage in real world and hands-on problem solving while using their developing skills in mathematics. Students will learn new material through animations, videos, reading, projects, and guided practice. The topics covered in this course include: real numbers, algebraic expressions, graphing to solve inequalities and absolute value, graphing to solve linear equations, systems of equations, factoring polynomial equations, relations and functions, quadratic equations, radical and rational expressions and equations, and probability.

This is an 18 week class, designed for 9th to 12th grade students.  It meets Tuesdays from 11:30 to 12:30

Financial Literacy

This course teaches all one needs to be financially literate.  The course will focus on the following topics:  Earning, Spending, Saving and Investing, Borrowing, Protecting Assets and Identity.  Students will be asked to create products (i.e. budgets and risk plans) outside of the classroom.  This is a semester-long course and will use resources provided by the FDIC and the University of Arizona.  Students who enroll in this course can earn credit.
